On 16.12.2021, the participants of this year's Brewing Workshop presented the beers they had created in the previous semester to the public. Since the tasting had to be done digitally due to corona, the beers were sent to the participants in advance.

The Zwickl "Bonfire" (Niklas Musiol, Steven Meyer, Thomas Schmidt, Sven Leusmann), the Pils "Pottweiser" (Philipp Zellien, Lina Schibajew, Keno Lammers, Janina Mannschott) and the Amber Ale "Feentrunk" (Nam Le, Leonie Runge, Xenia Wissing, Jan Baumeister) were tasted. All three beers were found to be very good and tasty. In the anonymous voting, in which the idea, taste and presentation were evaluated, the "Feentrunk" emerged as the winning beer.

Congratulations!

In advance, all three beers were professionally judged by Jens Kerkling, a 2016 BCI graduate who was involved in Brau AG, is a hobby brewer himself, and has been a Recognized Beer Judge in the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) since 2020. Kerkling saw the Zwicklbier come out on top in his assessment.

At the nationwide beer brewing competition in Hamburg in early September, the "Feentrunk" will represent the BCI faculty.

Many thanks go to Christina Schmidt, Sebastian Kruth and Philipp Nerke, who were responsible for the Brewing Workshop this year.
We are already looking forward to the beers of 2022.
