This year's Carl Zerbe Award for Young Scientists, presented by the DGMK German Scientific Society for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Coal, went to Dr. Thomas Seidensticker from the Chair of Technical Chemistry. Congratulations!

Seidensticker heads a group of young researchers working on the functionalization and transformation of biogenic raw materials by means of homogeneous catalysis. In his work, Seidensticker is concerned with the extension and combination of catalytic reaction steps from petrochemistry and, in particular, researches their transfer and application to novel substrates from renewable raw materials. The award will be presented on November 4, 2021, during the DGMK General Meeting.
