This year's DECHEMA University Young Teachers Award for Technical Chemistry has been awarded to Dr. rer. nat. Thomas Seidensticker from the Chair of Technical Chemistry.
Both the audience's vote and the vote of a jury consisting of members of the steering committee of DECHEMA's specialist group Education and Innovation were taken into account in the decision to award the prize. Seidensticker's didactically oriented presentation on conversion processes to avoid waste streams during recycling, using PET as an example, convinced both the audience and the jury.
The prize was awarded during the spring meeting of the DECHEMA BioTechNet and the Fachgemeinschaftstag Bildung und Innovation.
