Great interest in BCI career week

The large number of about 60 participants showed the strong interest in the second digital BCI career week (21. - 23.03.2022). The event was aimed at master's students who want to prepare specifically for a transition to industry.

The three themed evenings covered a wide spectrum:

Facts and tips on application documents and the job interview were given in the application workshop. Marion Kraft (Career Service of the Research Funding Department) and Heiner Busch and Nils Wehenkel (VTU Engineering) were welcomed as experienced guests under the moderation of Kirsten Lindner-Schwentick.

On the second evening, the topic "Date your Career" dealt with the question of how to find the job that suits me best. Gesine Jordan (Evonik Industries AG) and Dr. Lukas Pansegrau (Global TrendMiner Software AG) spoke with the participants about the requirements and qualifications of the individual entry-level profiles. The workshop was moderated by Alfons Bieker (Förder- und Alumniverein fabcing).

On the last evening, under the moderation of Dr. Katrin Rosenthal, Dr. Julia Schüller (BASF AG), Lisa Gehring (Utek GmbH) and Elisabeth Brenker (Equal Opportunities Office of TU Dortmund University) discussed with the participants the special requirements of women in the engineering profession and gave their thoughts on how to master these.

For further discussion of career entry, all members of fabcing have the opportunity to participate in mentoring by members of the sponsoring association. The application deadline is 15.04.2022.
