The Faculty of Bioengineering and Chemical Engineering is committed to equal opportunities for students with disabilities and chronic diseases. In close cooperation with institutions and actors supporting students with disabilities and chronic diseases, the faculty implements a variety of measures for inclusive study conditions.

This includes e.g.

  • barrier-free or low barrier design of the structural and technical infrastructure and administrative processes
  • individual support for students, e.g. advice on adapting curricula or arranging additional support services
  • Consideration of the needs of students with disabilities and chronic illnesses in teaching, e.g. by adapting examination formats or barrier-free digital teaching portals.

Campus actors such as DoBuS (Disability and Studies) or the Central Student Advisory Service advise the faculty on inclusive studies and ensure that new legal requirements are implemented quickly.
