Bioeconomy Day 2026, July 9 in Bönen

At the meeting in the Kongresszentrum of the Bio-security center in Bönen it was obvious how much potential networking between Science, start-ups and industry has.

Biological and Chemical Engineering at the departmentwas topic of the key note lecture, delivered by Dr. Sabine Giessler-Blank, explaining the strategy of the faculty on carrying out holistic research – starting with molecular mechanisms, scaling up efficient, sustainable processes and optimizing end product properties. 

Dr Ronja Weidemann from the chair of Bioprocess Engineering pitched her start-up work @phosfad.  

Support for the innovative start-ups was given by Evonik Venture Capital and other institutions.
