Dr. Stefanie Walter receives the Christopher Wormald Prize

Dr. Stefanie Walter, former member of staff at the Chair of Thermodynamics, has been awarded the Christopher Wormald Prize. Congratulations!

The award is only presented every two years for outstanding work. Dr. Walter received the prize for her work "Solvent-induced phase separation in pharmaceutical formulations", in which she investigated the influence of solvents in the production of pharmaceutical substances and was able to show that thermodynamics can be successfully used to select suitable solvents to obtain more homogeneous products. The work, published in five scientific journals, was carried out in cooperation with Dr. Christian Lübbert and Abbvie Germany. The award was presented during the Thermodynamics 2024 Conference at Delft University of Technology.
