BCI ChemCar team achieves 3rd place in Berlin
In the past months, the team developed an innovative concept with an electrochemical reaction (NaOH as electrolyte, Cu/Zn as cathode/anode) that drives a motor and a superabsorber that, controlled via neutralization, precisely stops the car. In addition to achieving the driving distance as accurately as possible, which was communicated shortly before the competition, the concept to be presented on a poster was also taken into account in the scoring. The BCI team even received an award for the best poster. The competition took place at the international congress ECCE/ECAB under the motto "Chemical and Biochemical Engineering - Acting Together" from 17 - 21 September 2023 in Berlin.
Interested BCI Master students can still apply for the ChemCar team 2024 until 20.10.2023.
