Over 30 students attended one or even all of the online events held on three consecutive evenings. Many participants will then also take part in mentoring by faculty alumni from May onwards.
In the application workshop, Kirsten Lindner-Schwentick first gave tips on preparing application documents. At Date your career, Alfons Bieker (formerly EVONIK) and his guests (Marion Homann, Currenta GmbH & Co. OHG and Ron Fuhrmeister, Romaco Kilian GmbH) addressed the topic of entry-level and career profiles for BCI graduates. On the last day, "FrauendING", a discussion among, about and with women in engineering, was on the agenda. The Equal Opportunities Officer of the BCI Faculty, Dr Katrin Rosenthal, led the evening with four experts (Anke Kujawski, TU Dortmund; Dr Marie Lührmann, EVONIK; Johanna Rickert, Saltigo GmbH; Dr Katharina van Beijeren Bergen en Henegouwen, Bayer).
More than two hours each on the screen, many questions and a heartfelt thank you from the students proved a successful new career format that will be continued in the coming years. Many thanks to all contributors and to the Alumni and Support Association of the Faculty of Bio- and Chemical Engineering.
