The "MinTU" project stands for "Girls at TU Dortmund University" and is aimed specifically at schoolgirls interested in STEM subjects.

As part of this project, almost 40 participants spent a day at the BCI faculty today. First, they were given information about the degree courses on offer and the associated job profiles. They were then able to get hands-on in various workshops. For example, they produced peppermint pastilles using a tablet press and learned about the influence of different raw materials on the consistency of the product. After the students had learned the theory behind the fermentation process, they were allowed to make kimchi themselves. Finally, they learned about the structure of polymers and their use in everyday life. The planned time frame of the event was clearly exceeded and reflects the commitment of the participants.
