The space available to TU Dortmund University is a scarce commodity that must be used in an economically efficient and socially just manner, also in terms of sustainability.

As TU Dortmund University has grown in recent years and working methods have changed, new office space concepts are to be established. This can keep the teaching and research environment lively and increase the quality of stay on campus.

As a pilot faculty, BCI would like to actively participate in this process. To this end, about 30 BCI employees of all status groups, with the participation of Dec. 6, Ref. 7, the staff councils and the representatives of the severely handicapped, gave initial thoughts in a workshop yesterday under the direction of HIS. After taking stock of the various office activities, proposals for future space utilization concepts were drawn up and intensively discussed. The results of these discussions will be incorporated into the overall concept to be drawn up by the TU Dortmund University, which will include aspects such as the possibilities for structural implementation, costs and compliance with the workplace directive.
