All properly enrolled students of the Faculty of Biological and Chemical Engineering are the student representatives.
The student representatives are represented by the student council, which represents the common interests of the department's students.

The student council is represented in the department's committees and works to improve studies and teaching. It is the point of contact for the AStA and the Dean's Office of the department or external organizations, projects or associations.

The student council organizes its own events, takes care of tutorials and exam preparation and makes suggestions for the use of tuition fees.
