Graduate farewell on the day of the BCI

The BCI department held a ceremony today to bid farewell to the graduates of the past year.

All Bachelor's and Master's graduates and doctoral students present received their degree certificates from the Dean, Prof. Norbert Kockmann, to much applause from their families and friends. Congratulations to all graduates!

Vice-President Prof. Gerhard Schembecker conveyed congratulations from the TU Dortmund University Rectorate and the Chair of the fabcing alumni association, Dr. Corina Nentwich, congratulated all graduates on their success. In his speech, Dean Prof. Kockmann then gave the graduates plenty of food for thought, quoting Taylor Swift in the process. Dr. Ralph Kleinschmidt from thyssenkrupp Uhde GmbH gave the keynote speech on the topic of the circular economy and presented the latest processes for climate protection. Isabel Keller and Andre Grütering gave a speech from the ranks of the graduates and looked back on their studies. The event was rounded off with a speech from the student council by Edith Marie Wollbrink and Moritz Westerheide, followed by a reception in the canteen.
