BCI-Brau AG presents its beer creations to the public
Since the beginning of August, this year's three Brau AG groups have been working on the creation of "their" beer. After determining the beer type, alcohol content, color and IBU (bitterness), the beers were brewed by the participants in October in a 10-liter batch and presented to the BCI today after the appropriate storage time. A Helles, an IPA and a Red Ale were tasted. The beers were judged not only on taste, but also on the idea and story behind the beers and their presentation. All the beers were rated as very successful and delicious. The winning beer was the Red Ale "Ragnared" (Hendrik Lapainis, Fabienne Ryll, Jan Seemann), followed by the pale "Lichtschalter - Jetzt wird es hell" (Pierre Bernoti, Cornelius Rawert, Prachi Nilesh Shah) and the IPA "Helios Ale - Ein Geschenk der Götter" (Fiona Gjoni, Oskar Sommerrey, Philip Timm). The Ragnared, the name a combination of Irish tradition and Norse mythology, will represent the faculty at next year's nationwide contest. The Brau AG was supervised by Saskia Spitzer and Till Steinmetz.
