We are pleased to announce that the TU Dortmund team (Julia Bienas, Lucas Brockerhoff, Julius Lamprecht and Giuliano Palamito) qualified to participate in the final round of the VDI ChemPLANT competition at the 14th European Congress of Chemical Engineering and 7th European Congress of Applied Biotechnology (ECCE/ECAB). Congratulations!

This year, too, the topic of sustainability was the focus of the competition. As part of the assignment "chemPAPER: Contribution to sustainable pulp utilization", the team looked at the innovative energy and material use of waste products in the paper industry. In their project entitled "EcoSchock", the students developed a concept in which waste products from the paper industry can be used to produce green hydrogen and recycled instead of being incinerated.
