BCI students receive "Deutschlandstipendium"

The scholarship is made possible by the joint commitment of companies, foundations and private sponsors who want to support and accompany young talents in a targeted manner.
In the funding year 2025/26, a total of 233 scholarships will be awarded by 59 sponsors. Of these, 20 scholarships will be awarded to students from the Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering - an important sign of appreciation for the achievements and commitment of our students.
The recipients receive a monthly grant of 300 euros for at least two semesters. Half of the funding is provided by the federal government and half by private sponsors from industry, foundations and society.
The selection of scholarship holders is not only based on excellent academic performance, but also takes into account social commitment, for example in social projects, university initiatives or voluntary work. Special social, family or personal circumstances are also taken into account in the assessment. The Deutschlandstipendium thus recognizes academic excellence as well as responsibility and commitment beyond the course of study.
