RESOLV cluster of excellence approved for the next seven years

We are very pleased that RESOLV (Ruhr Explores Solvation) is involved and has thus been able to secure the third funding phase.
RESOLV deals with the role of solvents in chemical reactions.
In the upcoming funding period, this newly established research discipline aims to gain an even better understanding and better control of solvent-controlled processes. RESOLV is the only chemistry cluster in Germany.
The consortium, based at Ruhr University Bochum and TU Dortmund University, works on an interdisciplinary basis with researchers from the University of Duisburg-Essen and the three Max Planck Institutes for Coal Research, Chemical Energy Conversion and Sustainable Materials.
The spokespersons of the consortium are Prof. Martina Havenith, Prof. Viktoria Däschlein-Gessner and Prof. Gabriele Sadowski. On the BCI side, Prof. Gabriele Sadowski, Prof. Elsa Sánchez García and Prof. Hannsjörg Freund are also involved in the Cluster of Excellence.
