MinTU participants get to know the BCI
On Tuesday, around 25 girls had the opportunity to find out about the activities and study opportunities at BCI, after first receiving information about the careers of bioengineers and chemical engineers, the participants were able to get to know the work in the laboratory in various workshops. For example, they produced peppermint pastilles using a tablet press and learned about the process of extracting peppermint oil from peppermint leaves. In the workshop on polymers, the participants were surprised at how much liquid the superabsorbents used in diapers bind and that milk ingredients can also be used as adhesives.
