The research-oriented Master's degree program qualifies students to work independently as process engineers with a focus on biotechnology. It teaches the ability to develop, analyze and optimize new processes for the production of low and high molecular weight products.
The course focuses on mastering modern technologies in molecular genetic engineering and biochemistry, bioreaction technology, microbioprocess engineering and product processing.

In the first and second semesters of the full-time course, which comprises three semesters, in addition to the compulsory and elective courses, there are also specialization courses that can be freely chosen. The Master's thesis is written in the third semester.

The part-time Master's degree program comprises a total of five semesters. The first three semesters are dedicated to compulsory and compulsory elective modules as well as the specializations chosen by the student. The Master's thesis is written in the fourth and fifth semesters.

Depending on your personal inclination, the Master's thesis can be either theoretical or practical.

Details on the individual courses can be found in the module handbook (under study organization).
