Job & Master - combining studies and career

Job or Master's degree? You can do both!

At TU Dortmund University, the Master's in Biological or Chemical Engineering is particularly job-friendly, so you can combine your studies very well with your career.

What makes the Master's program at BCI job-friendly?

  • Flexible study organization
  • Online courses and compact attendance phases
  • Good compatibility of work and study
  • Studying part-time

"Job & Master" does not mean studying full-time alongside a full-time job. The course offers you the opportunity to combine your job and studies in a balanced way and to complete your studies part-time.

The Master's degree program "Job and Master" at the BCI department is specially tailored to the needs of working people.
The compulsory courses usually take place from Monday to Wednesday in the mornings.

Digital or hybrid teaching formats, recordings, scripts, self-study materials, structured Moodle courses

In addition to the option of writing a Master's thesis at the department, students also have the opportunity to write their thesis in collaboration with a company - ideally their own employer.

At the start of their studies, all students receive clear information on the time required and the recommended semester structure so that they can plan their studies realistically. An alternative study plan is also offered for working students, which spreads the modules over a longer period of time and thus enables a good balance between work and study.
